2018: feelin’ it

I haven’t allocated much time for writing on here lately, but I just wanted to write down that I’m flying into 2018 feeling amazing.

It’s been a HELL of a year and here at the end I feel open to whatever, excited to be alive, clear-headed, in love with everyone and everything. I have grown more in 2017 than any other year. It has been confusing and painful and scary and authentic and it has contained the most precious of my experiences so far in my short life. I feel like I am coming into my own as an adult, piecing together a confident and healthy view of how I relate to other people and things, and seeing things clearly for what they are — and I love it. I have a massive appreciation for just existing and experiencing the whole spectrum of stuff to do and feel and see as a human.

Mental note for less fuzzy things I want to write down:

  • quitting my job
  • starting a new (remote) job
  • a new poodle puppy
  • a trip to Austin and Denver
  • going on a cruise and scuba diving
  • Thanksgiving in California and Christmas in Utah
  • plans/goals for next year
  • I love that word “authentic” that you use. I related to a lot of this all too well. I think people underestimate authenticity and how difficult it is to be a truly authentic person, especially when you are in a community of people who are maybe similar in ways you are not. I always feel like a black sheep, but hey, I know that no matter how much I don’t fit in at times, I am being authentic and I think that counts for sooooo much.

It’s been amazing to see you change as a person, even from an outsider’s view you truly seem to be in such a good place these days! I am super excited to see what’s in store for your future and to follow along your social media adventures 🙂

Happy new year! Tell your pups Tucker says hello lol.
